Actor Park Hyuk-kwon has publicly expressed his support for Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party.

On the 22nd, at the campaign rally for candidate Lee Jae-myung held at Jeju Dongmun Rotary, Park Hyuk-kwon took the microphone and introduced himself as a resident of "Songdang-ri, Gujwa-eup (in Jeju City)," saying, "So many unimaginable things have happened lately that I don't even know how time has passed."

He mentioned the shock during the martial law on December 3, saying, "Five months ago, our soldiers pointed guns at us. At first, I couldn't believe it, but later I became very sad. I cried, wondering how such a thing could happen." He continued, "It's exhausting and difficult, but June 3 is not the end; it's the beginning. The real game starts now. I hope everyone can gather their strength."

Park Hyuk-kwon stated, "I supported candidate Lee Jae-myung in the last presidential election three years ago," adding, "I received a lot of criticism for that. I was planning to retire by the next presidential election and actively support him, but the election came too quickly. Retirement is still far away, and I need to save more money, so I think I will continue acting for a few more years," sharing his thoughts with a hint of humor that drew laughter.

He then exclaimed, "The last words I said at the Myeongdong rally three years ago received a good response. I will say it again this time. Even if I lose my livelihood, I will support candidate Lee Jae-myung."

On the 29th of last month, 123 cultural and artistic figures issued a statement declaring their public support for candidate Lee Jae-myung. This declaration of support included actors Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Ui-sung, Lee Gi-young, Lee Won-jong, as well as singers Lee Eun-mi, Lee Jeong-seok, Shin Dae-cheol, and film director Lee Chang-dong.

Park Hyuk-kwon began his acting career as a member of the theater company Sanwoolim, transitioned to television, and showcased his unique acting in dramas such as 'Secret Affair,' 'Punch,' 'Producer,' 'Six Flying Dragons,' 'Something in the Rain,' 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate,' 'Wonderful World,' and 'Lighting Store.'
