Actress Jeong Ga-eun (48) has confessed to her financial struggles and has taken on the challenge of becoming a taxi driver.
Recently, Jeong Ga-eun appeared on her YouTube channel 'Wonder Ga-eun Jeong Ga-eun' where she took the taxi qualification exam, showcasing her new challenge.
At the exam site, Jeong Ga-eun greeted traffic expert YouTuber Park Rae-ho, expressing confidence by saying, "I studied a lot," while also seriously asking questions about parts she was unsure of during her studies. After carefully checking the difficult parts, she declared, "I am confident I will pass. I want to score over 90 points," igniting her determination.
She shared, "My father has been a taxi driver for over 30 years. He raised me with his taxi," adding, "He recently underwent surgery for esophageal cancer and is not in good health. I want to invite him as my first customer. I have researched a lot of related information while preparing for the exam."
She continued, "I heard that if you work hard, you can earn 10 million won a month. These days, even large companies can't earn that much in a month. If done well, it could be a good job," showing her expectations.
After successfully obtaining her taxi qualification certificate, she said, "I passed, but I scored 75 points. The exam was really difficult. The questions were different from what I studied," expressing her disappointment, "I focused on one YouTube channel to study, but I think I should have watched multiple contents. I needed to score 90 points, but it was really hard."
Holding the certificate engraved with 'Baek Ra-hee Taxi Driver,' she smiled brightly. She then called her father to inform him, "I have become a taxi driver, following in your footsteps."
Meanwhile, Jeong Ga-eun married her husband, who is the same age, in 2016 and has one daughter, but they divorced in 2017. Her ex-husband was sued for embezzling 13.2 billion won from Jeong Ga-eun's bank account until 2018 and fleeing.
In a past broadcast, Jeong Ga-eun confessed, "After the movie ended, I had no work. Looking at the company's deposit records, I felt 'overwhelmed.' In the past, I was just scared because I had no money, but these days I think, 'I can live according to this.' The future is dark, but I am trying to get through it somehow."
