Broadcaster Pungja has refuted the back advertising allegations regarding 'Ttoganjip'.
On the 9th, a video titled “Emergency Broadcast) We Address the Back Advertising Controversy of Ttoganjip Anyang” was released on the YouTube web entertainment show 'Ttoganjip'.
Pungja began, “There is an announcement. I set everything aside and came straight to Anyang for re-shooting. I was so angry that I couldn't sleep.” She continued, “Many people were curious after the Anyang episode was released. We have recalled the posters,” revealing the recalled posters.
Previously, the Anyang episode of 'Ttoganjip', released on the 24th of last month, gained popularity with over 900,000 views but was embroiled in controversy over manipulated appearances.
During the shoot, a participant introduced a restaurant to Pungja, who asked, “Is this your parents' house?” but the participant denied it.
Afterward, some netizens pointed out that the interviewed participant was the daughter of the restaurant owner. The participant apologized directly in the comments just a day after the video was released. Ultimately, the production team deleted the video.
Pungja stated, “I am very sorry, but I have something I must say. I couldn't sleep in the early morning. I was so angry. There are people who write convincingly. I have captured it myself. I know all their names and have followed them on social media.”
Pungja revealed the malicious comments she had captured. The comments included statements like, “This is definitely something you get paid for. My friend who runs a business in Sokcho also paid for this,” and “Isn't it known in the industry that this is all done for back money? This channel should just disappear. It's really disgusting to watch.”
Pungja expressed her anger, saying, “They say there is marketing in the comments. If you are confident, let’s make a bet; I will bet my retirement. I am very confident.”
She emphasized her innocence, stating, “For over three years, we have introduced restaurants we visit without receiving money or doing back advertising. If such a thing exists, I will take down Studio Sujae and 'Ttoganjip', and I will quietly retire.”
The re-shoot of 'Ttoganjip' Anyang episode is scheduled to be released on June 27.
