The family of the late Kim Sae-ron has refuted all claims made by the informant who alleges that YouTuber Lee Jin-ho harassed the deceased through fake news videos, calling them 'false.'
Lee Jin-ho from the YouTube channel 'Entertainment President' held a press conference on the afternoon of the 7th in a location in Gangnam, Seoul. Just before the press conference, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed that Lee Jin-ho pressured the deceased with a YouTube video made from fake news.
In response, Lee Jin-ho raised his voice, stating that all the claims made by the family regarding the recorded phone call between the deceased and the informant residing in New Jersey, USA, are false.
Lee Jin-ho stated, “The informant from New Jersey is a fraudster. He is making false claims about being attacked,” and emphasized that “the photos of the informant's alleged attack released by the family can be easily found on Google. They are even photos from four or ten years ago.”
He further claimed that the recording was analyzed and determined to be manipulated, stating, “Based on a voice created by AI, the New Jersey fraudster added his own voice and noise.”
Lee Jin-ho pointed out, “If there is a shameful journalist, it is undoubtedly Kim Se-ye. He is inciting the public with a clearly false and manipulated recording. Many people, including Kim Gun-mo, Park Soo-hong, Jjuyang, and Lee Sun-kyun, have been victimized. It is time to stop the rampage of Gaseyeon. Please help hold them accountable.”
Earlier, the family presented a recording of the deceased during the press conference. They stated that the recording was made using a voice actor for the informant's safety. In the recording, Kim Sae-ron said, “The hardest part is that people who don’t know me are saying it’s all an act, a performance,” and added, “They are tormenting me by broadcasting and publishing articles about my situation.”
She continued, “It’s not just once or twice; even if I change my phone number, Lee Jin-ho still calls me. It’s frustrating and makes me angry because he broadcasts unverified information, making it impossible for me to make a comeback.”
Additionally, the family claimed that in the recorded conversation, “Lee Jin-ho said he would give 1 billion won in exchange for the recording.” When this was refused, the informant claimed to have been attacked nine times in the neck by an unidentified person.
In response, Lee Jin-ho stated, “If I had 1 billion won, I wouldn’t have gotten involved in this and would have just left Korea,” and asserted, “I only spoke to the informant four times. The words I supposedly said were fabricated by AI. I want to clarify this through investigations by the authorities.”
At the press conference, Lee Jin-ho was joined by reporter Kang Kyung-yoon from SBS Entertainment News, who the family claimed had maliciously reported on the deceased's situation. Kang expressed her position, stating, “Gaseyeon has spread too many falsehoods, and we are currently in legal proceedings. I regret that they are bringing forth absurd and fabricated claims.” She added, “I too have been in a difficult situation, and my company has been on hiatus for a year.”
In conclusion, Lee Jin-ho stated, “The incident involving the deceased is undoubtedly a tragedy. I express my regrets and hope this situation is resolved as soon as possible.”
Regarding the incident of the late Kim Sae-ron, who passed away in February, the family has mentioned the six-year relationship between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun through Gaseyeon and is demanding an official apology from Kim Soo-hyun's side. The family insists that Kim Soo-hyun acknowledge the fact that he dated the deceased when she was a minor.
Furthermore, the family has claimed that both Kim Soo-hyun and Lee Jin-ho from 'Entertainment President' have continuously harassed Kim Sae-ron through multiple videos.
