The family of the late Kim Sae-ron has filed a complaint against actor Kim Soo-hyun for violating the Child Welfare Act.
On the afternoon of the 7th, the family held a press conference at a location in Gangnam, Seoul. Kim Se-yi, the representative of the YouTube channel Gaseyeon, also attended the event.
The main issues raised during the family’s press conference were: ▲ Kim Soo-hyun had a sexual relationship with the deceased, who was a minor ▲ The whistleblower who disclosed the recording with the deceased was attacked.
First, Kim Se-yi stated, “On January 10 of this year (U.S. time), the whistleblower was attacked by two assailants who came from Korea and China on May 1 (Korean time). They stabbed him nine times in the neck area. The family requested that we disclose at least part of this situation today as it has escalated.”
He continued, “The whistleblower received a suspicious phone call. The caller said that if he provided the recording with the deceased, he would withdraw a lawsuit worth 450 million won and give him 2 billion won in cash. However, the whistleblower refused this offer and was attacked on his way to work afterward.”
Kim Se-yi emphasized, “This is a clear case of conspiracy to commit murder. It is a planned crime, and I would like to inform you that the investigation is being conducted by the FBI, not the police in New Jersey where the incident occurred.” He also mentioned that the whistleblower and Kim Sae-ron's aunt are under ongoing threats, and they have requested an investigation from the police.
The family emphasized the seriousness of the situation by releasing photos of the areas where the whistleblower was attacked.
Kim Se-yi also addressed the relationship between Kim Soo-hyun and the deceased. He stated, “We have confirmed that Kim Soo-hyun engaged in lewd acts or sexual harassment with Kim Sae-ron starting from her second year of middle school, and we have filed a complaint for violating the Child Welfare Act.”
In fact, in the recording released by the family, Kim Sae-ron said, “I really trust you and I’m telling you. Please protect me,” and added, “I dated Oppa Soo-hyun. You might think I’m crazy, but we dated from middle school until we broke up in college.”
She continued, “Oppa Soo-hyun and gold medalists are really scary and do anything. Please make sure to protect me. I feel like I’ve been used since middle school. Everyone made me look like a crazy person.”
However, Lee Jin-ho, who runs the YouTube channel ‘Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho’, claimed that the recording was manipulated. He stated, “Surprisingly, it was analyzed that the voice was created based on AI, and the New Jersey scammer added his own voice and noise to it. It was also analyzed that the file itself was created after April, not in January of this year.”
Previously, Kim Soo-hyun's side filed a criminal complaint and a lawsuit for damages amounting to 12 billion won against the family of the late Kim Sae-ron and Gaseyeon on the 1st. Subsequently, on the 30th of last month, they stated, “They are continuing to spread false information about Kim Soo-hyun, disregarding the court's provisional measures,” and added that they filed an additional complaint against Kim Se-yi for violating the stalking law.
On the day Gaseyeon announced a press conference, they expressed serious concerns about the continued dissemination of false information regarding Kim Soo-hyun, following the previous press conference.
