Singer IU has practiced a warm act of sharing for children and teenagers in celebration of Children's Day 2025.

Her agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced on the 5th, "IU donated a total of 150 million won under the name 'IUana' (IU + Uana) to commemorate Children's Day." The donation will be used to improve the living environment and healthy growth of youth preparing for independence and children with disabilities.

The donation was allocated as follows: 62 million won to 'Edeni Village' and 90 million won to 'Hansarang Village' and 'Hansarang Disabled Infants Home.' The funds for 'Edeni Village' will be used to create spaces for youth preparing for independence and to support gifts and events for Children's Day, while the donations to 'Hansarang Village' and 'Hansarang Disabled Infants Home' will be used for replacing old boilers, medical and rehabilitation treatments, and providing gifts for Children's Day to improve the actual living conditions of children with disabilities.

Since her debut in 2008, IU has consistently engaged in charitable activities. She is also known for donating under the name 'IUana' on various anniversaries such as her debut anniversary, her birthday, and year-end celebrations. In 2019, she was the youngest to be named among the '30 Heroes of Philanthropy in Asia' by Forbes. In March, she donated 200 million won to support victims of large wildfires in the Gyeongsang region and to improve the treatment of firefighters.

Meanwhile, IU recently left a deep impression by perfectly portraying two roles in the Netflix series 'You Have Been Cheated,' and she is preparing to shoot her next project, 'The 21st Century Great Lady.'
