Actor Kang Yoo-seok's photoshoot has been revealed.
Kang Yoo-seok, who has made a strong impression on viewers with the Netflix series “Poxak Sogassuda” and the tvN drama “Someday, a Wise Resident Life,” has unveiled a photoshoot in collaboration with “Esquire.”
Titled “When Kang Yoo-seok Clearly Disappears,” this photoshoot was inspired by the actor's belief that he is happiest when viewers think, “Is that the person from that work?” In the photos, Kang Yoo-seok creates a diverse atmosphere with just changes in outfits against a minimal background. It is said that his ability to quickly catch nuances in each outfit and change the mood with simple gestures left everyone on set in awe.
In the interview, various aspects of Kang Yoo-seok can be discovered. Regarding the character Yang Eun-myung from “Poxak Sogassuda,” he humbly expressed, “I think the character resonates with people, which is why they have shown so much interest and love,” revealing both his humility and affection for the character. He mentioned that he found himself discovering a lot of common ground with the character from the very beginning of building it up.
He also shared his reflections on the filming experience, saying, “Just witnessing the performances of my seniors and being part of that experience made every moment on set happy.” He recounted a moment when he was moved to tears by actor Park Hae-joon's drastic weight loss for his character, expressing heartfelt emotions and gratitude as if he were returning to that moment.
He discussed various topics, including the desperation he felt during his rookie days, his belief that “persuasion” is the most important aspect of acting, and his understanding of the roles he will take on in upcoming projects.
Kang Yoo-seok is currently appearing as the new resident Um Jae-il in “Someday, a Wise Resident Life.” The tvN drama “Seocho-dong,” which is currently in production, is also set to be released this year.
