Song Baek-kyung, a former member of the group One Time, has begun the process of removing his tattoos.
On the 22nd, Song Baek-kyung announced on his SNS, "I finally removed the last trace of my celebrity disease, the tattoo, from my body today. This is the first step in my journey to live with a clean body. I will work hard to remove it over the next three years."
The photo he shared shows Song Baek-kyung with his wrist and upper arm wrapped in bandages after completing the tattoo removal procedure. He also had bandages on the back of his ear and ankle.
Song Baek-kyung explained the reason for his decision to remove the tattoos, saying, "I have too many roles and a long life ahead of me to live as a tattooed person. As a dad, husband, and boss, I’m glad I can confidently tell my two sons, who say 'You look cool like a gangster,' that tattoos are absolutely not okay."
He added, "I feel a bit sore after waking up from anesthesia, but this is nothing to worry about," and urged, "Please cherish the clean body that your parents have passed down to you."
Recently, Song Baek-kyung appeared on the KBS2 variety show 'Salim Men 2,' revealing his current situation as the owner of a skewered food restaurant.
At that time, Song Baek-kyung raised questions by insisting on wearing long sleeves even while working in front of a gas stove. When asked about this, he revealed, "I have a past that I want to hide on my left arm. After becoming a dad, I no longer want to show it," expressing regret over his past tattoos.
Song Baek-kyung's mother also expressed her dislike for his tattoos, saying, "I didn't want to see them either. It’s embarrassing for others to see. People look at it through colored glasses," and Song Baek-kyung showed his determination to remove the tattoos by saying, "I will erase this."
Song Baek-kyung debuted in 1998 with One Time and married a non-celebrity two years younger than him in 2016, with whom he has two sons.
