Actor Jung Il-woo has successfully wrapped up his solo fan meeting held in Tokyo, Japan.
On the 30th of last month, Jung Il-woo held the 2025 Jung Il-woo Fan Meeting in Japan ‘ILWOOasis - Spring, and Your Oasis’ at Hitotsubashi Hall located in Haneda, Tokyo. This fan meeting was designed to signify that Jung Il-woo and his fan club ‘smilwoo’ are not just a simple actor-fan relationship, but rather an oasis for each other, allowing them to once again feel their strong bond.
Jung Il-woo greeted his fans with excitement, marking the beginning of the fan meeting. He revealed that he personally planned the title of the fan meeting, expressing the importance of the moments shared with his fans.
In the first segment ‘Fan’s Radar’, Jung Il-woo engaged in a talk about his recent activities while viewing photos taken by fans. He first shared his experiences at a restaurant where his signature is displayed, sharing his accumulated data on good eateries with the fans. Next, when photos from the charity bazaar held last November were shown, he reflected on the meaningful event they achieved together, from the preparation process to the fact that all proceeds were donated. He also discussed his various volunteer activities and donations, highlighting his positive influence.
Jung Il-woo had a fun time with fans through various interactive segments such as ‘Lucky Frog, Grant My Wish’, ‘Lucky Draw’, and ‘Beat Jung Il-woo’. As the atmosphere heated up with the well-organized program, Jung Il-woo's singing performance added richness to the fan meeting, receiving the most enthusiastic response. Among the various stages, his performance of the OST ‘Scarecrow’ from his work ‘49 Days’ touched the hearts of the fans.
As the fan meeting approached its conclusion, Jung Il-woo alleviated the sadness of the moment by having a photo time, making eye contact with each fan. He had secretly prepared a surprise handwritten letter, expressing, “In this moment, being able to look into each other's eyes and share our hearts in the same space is something I realize is so precious,” conveying feelings he hadn’t been able to express to the fans. He also promised, “I will continue to be a person who can bring joy and happiness to you,” moving the fans deeply.
Jung Il-woo is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film ‘I’m Going to Abandon My Mother’.
