Hollywood actor Val Kilmer, famous for his roles in 'Batman Forever' and the 'Top Gun' series, has passed away from pneumonia at the age of 65.
According to the New York Times on the 1st (local time), Val Kilmer's daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, revealed that her father died of pneumonia in Los Angeles.
The late actor rose to stardom in 1986 as Iceman in Tony Scott's film 'Top Gun' and showcased intense performances in works such as 'True Romance', 'Tombstone', and 'Heat'. He also enjoyed his peak in 1995 when he played Bruce Wayne in 'Batman Forever'.
Despite undergoing surgery and battling throat cancer, Val Kilmer continued to work, appearing in films like 'Soldier's Revenge' and 'Black Money', and made a comeback as Iceman in 'Top Gun: Maverick', released in 2022, 36 years after the original.
At that time, Tom Cruise praised Val Kilmer's emotional performance, saying, "I was crying and overwhelmed with emotion," adding, "He is truly an outstanding actor."
