In the 21st episode of the food documentary 'The Jeon Hyun-moo Project 2' (co-produced by MBN and Channel S) aired on the 14th, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) met the 'National Food God' Kim Jun-hyun and embarked on a food trip, clearing Jeon Hyun-moo's pick, a famous tail soup restaurant in Yeongdeungpo, Kwak Tube's pick, a fried hamburger restaurant in Jamsil, and Kim Jun-hyun's pick, a beef restaurant.
While scouting for restaurants in Samcheong-dong, Jeon Hyun-moo faced a 'two consecutive filming failures' situation and fell into a 'mental breakdown', but quickly showed his resourcefulness by redirecting to his own favorite restaurant, receiving enthusiastic support from viewers who said, "This is the ultimate reality show!" and "I was captivated by the thrilling restaurant scouting and discovery!"
On that day, Jeon Hyun-moo, who appeared in the 'All-round MZ Hot Place' in Samcheong-dong, declared, "Today, we will have a special episode featuring a whole cow, the rival of pigs." Immediately after, he said, "Since it's morning, let's go eat some soup," and headed to a restaurant famous for its 52-year-old dogani soup. However, before they could even mention scouting, they were rejected for filming, and Jeon Hyun-moo remarked, "There’s always another good restaurant next to a famous one!" and looked for a nearby eatery.
The restaurant was closed before opening. Having failed to scout for the first time in history consecutively, Jeon Hyun-moo said, "This won't do. Let's go for the tail soup," and moved to Yeongdeungpo. The place he recommended was a restaurant with a '47-year tradition', and the two enjoyed a hearty tail soup with thick pieces of tail rather than the usual thin ones. Kwak Tube mixed rice into the soup and praised, "It really has a clean taste." Jeon Hyun-moo shrugged and asked, "There’s no stinky smell, right?"
After filling their stomachs with soup, the two moved to a restaurant in Jamsil recommended by Kwak Tube. On the way, Jeon Hyun-moo met his 'food friend' Kim Jun-hyun and greeted him, while Kwak Tube revealed, "When I was in college, I was often told I looked like Kim Jun-hyun," showing a sense of familiarity.
In a warm atmosphere, the three entered the 'Fried Hamburger' restaurant located in the Jamsil shopping area. They were impressed by the old-school vibe and the self-service bar with various side dishes and ordered 'fried hamburgers' and 'ultimate burgers'. After tasting the food, they exclaimed, "It’s really juicy!" praising the burst of juices with every bite. Kim Jun-hyun sincerely thanked Kwak Tube, saying, "Thank you for letting me eat something so delicious." Later, Kim Jun-hyun mentioned, "There’s a beef restaurant that I really enjoyed," and took the two to Yongsan.
In the car, when Jeon Hyun-moo asked about Kim Jun-hyun's children, he turned on his 'daughter fool' mode, saying, "They look like me but are pretty." Amidst the surprise of the 'food parallel theory', they ordered the restaurant's signature 'whole beef tongue'. When the thick special beef tongue, resembling a steak, was served, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube's eyes widened. After seriously tasting a piece, they all admired it. Kim Jun-hyun commented, "This beef tongue has a heart flavor. I want to express the texture as 'seogeong' rather than 'seogeok'." Kwak Tube respected him, saying, "I thought you’d be tired of describing flavors after doing food shows for so long, but you’ve reached a divine level!" Kim Jun-hyun humbly replied, "Honestly, after doing this for 10 years, it’s just 'recycling'."
After the beef tongue, when the Korean beef chuck flap was served, Kim Jun-hyun personally picked up the tongs. He grilled the chuck flap with the know-how of a 'food professor', and after tasting it, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube gave a thumbs up.
