According to the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul, Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu at 4:54 PM on the 16th. It is reported that a friend who had made plans to meet her visited her home and discovered her, subsequently notifying the police. No suicide note was found. She was 25 years old.

Actor Won Bin, who worked with Kim Sae-ron in the 2010 film "The Man from Nowhere," visited her funeral to bid her farewell. Close friends such as AKMU's Lee Soo-hyun, actors Kim Bo-ra, Han So-hee, Kim Young-ok, Kim Sung-kyun, and broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu also visited the funeral to pay their respects.

Kim Sae-ron debuted as a baby model in the magazine "Anfang" in 2001 and began her acting career with the film "The Traveler" in 2009. She gained recognition for her role in the 2010 film "The Man from Nowhere" alongside actor Won Bin and appeared in various works such as "Neighbor," "Manhole," "Dohee-ya," "Snowy Road," and "Neighborhood People."
While actively working, Kim Sae-ron faced a crisis in 2022 due to a drunk driving incident. Afterward, she aimed for a comeback as an actress through the play "Dongchimi," but faced difficulties due to negative public opinion. The film "Guitar Man," which she completed filming last year, became her last work.
The late Kim Sae-ron's funeral is set up in Room 22 of the Asan Medical Center in Seoul. The funeral will be held at 6:20 AM on the 19th, and the burial site is the Unification Road Memorial Park.
