Actor Lee Hyun-woo is captivating the audience with his deep emotional acting and stage presence in the play ‘Anna X’.
The play ‘Anna X’ (hosted by Glim Artist Co., Ltd., produced by Glim Company Co., Ltd. / producer Lee Jae-eun) is based on the true story of Anna Sorokin, a con artist who shook up the New York social scene, which is well-known in Korea as well. In the play, Lee Hyun-woo plays the role of Ariel, a startup CEO who developed a popular dating app, drawn to the enchanting Anna but feeling confusion and fear as he confronts the truth.
Lee Hyun-woo expresses the psychological turmoil felt between reality and lies with great intensity, perfectly constructing the character's narrative with high-quality performance over 100 minutes. From the curious gaze during their first meeting to the excitement that develops into love, Lee Hyun-woo captures the emotions with a soft tone, and he maximizes the feelings of betrayal after discovering Anna's lies with a trembling voice and heavy silence. In particular, in the scene where he suppresses his anger towards Anna, he showcases explosive emotional acting, highlighting the climax of the play and demonstrating excellent character interpretation.
Moreover, he enhances the charm of the play by building different emotional lines with Choi Yeon-woo, Han Ji-eun, and Kim Do-yeon, who play the role of Anna. In this two-person play, where only two actors must fill the stage, he draws attention with his stable performance, leading his co-actors like a seasoned professional.
