Bae Seong-jae, who is about to marry announcer Kim Da-young, shared his thoughts on joining JTBC.

At the production presentation for JTBC's new program “Body Cam” held online on the 13th, Bae Seong-jae said, “I was excited by JTBC's first proposal,” adding, “Since many people still see me as an announcer, they want a program that is serious yet allows for shouting, and they want me to organize it while releasing dopamine. I am having a lot of fun.”

“Body Cam” is a program that vividly conveys urgent scenes and breath-taking moments through the body cam footage of bystanders and police officers. It goes beyond simply showing the scene by reconstructing incidents and accidents through the voices of firefighters and police officers, while also introducing appropriate responses in emergency situations.

Bae Seong-jae stated, “I often do sports commentary, but in sports, I have mostly commented within established rules and regulations,” and added, “I thought that ‘Body Cam’ should convey incidents that go beyond rules, regulations, and laws.”

He further described it as “a program that contains complex emotions, including sadness that cannot be resolved by dopamine, and warmth that embraces.”

On the 7th, Bae Seong-jae announced through his agency SM C&C that he will marry SBS announcer Kim Da-young in May.

SM C&C stated, “The two promised to become partners after two years of dating,” and added, “They wish to start quietly, omitting all formalities, and plan to hold a family meal instead of a ceremony.” After the marriage announcement, Kim Da-young expressed her intention to resign from SBS.
