‘Hanil Top Ten Show’ heated up the living room with a special feature of ‘Genre King Competition’ that integrated various genres from K-Trot to K-POP, J-POP, and R&B.
The 36th episode of MBN’s ‘Hanil Top Ten Show’, aired on the 10th at 9:20 PM, recorded a peak viewership rating of 3.9% and a nationwide rating of 3.7% (according to Nielsen Korea), securing the top spot in entertainment ratings during the same time slot, including general programming and cable.
First, MC Daesung and Kangnam introduced the appearance of Crystal Kay, Japan's top R&B queen and a close friend of BoA. Crystal Kay revealed that her Korean mother is a fan of ‘Hanil Top Ten Show’ and conveyed her willingness to appear, sharing BoA's encouragement to “enjoy it like Crystal usually does,” which heightened the atmosphere.
Lin confessed, “Crystal Kay is really famous and was the protagonist of my mini homepage BGM. I loved her so much,” which moved Crystal Kay.

Akki, who chose Ahn Ye-eun as the person he wanted to meet the most, performed ‘Mom Arirang’ with an energetic tension that captivated everyone, while Ahn Ye-eun showcased her unique shouting with ‘Waiting Every Day’, proving her power as ‘the genre itself’.
In the ‘Emotional Ballad Genre’ competition featuring representatives of Korea and Japan, Jeon Yu-jin and Crystal Kay formed a powerful big match. Jeon Yu-jin taught Crystal Kay the MZ slang “Ssak-sak Kimchi” to pass on K-swag.
Jeon Yu-jin poured out ‘Why Did You Live Like That’ with poignant emotion and deep vocal ability, bringing everyone to tears, while Crystal Kay completed an elegant stage with ‘Fate’, evoking deep emotions and creating a touching atmosphere.
The ‘Dance Trot Genre’ competition featuring Byeol Sarang and Yoon Jun-hyup attracted attention with the meeting of handsome men and beautiful women. Byeol Sarang, who received envy from the competition with Yoon Jun-hyup, prepared addictive choreography for the stage of ‘Aha’ and heated up the atmosphere with a skit performance where she threw away the bouquet handed by Daesung. Yoon Jun-hyup, the winner of the supermodel contest, exuded charm with his runway walking and then showcased a fiery dance stage with ‘Doom Ba Doom Ba’.
In the ‘K-Emotion Genre’ competition filled with excitement and sorrow, Jeon Yu-jin, Mai Jin, Kim Da-hyun, Akki, and Ahn Ye-eun clashed. Jeon Yu-jin, Mai Jin, and Kim Da-hyun, in charge of ‘Excitement’, made everyone get up and sway with ‘River of Time’, presenting the essence of K-Excitement. Akki and Ahn Ye-eun, who expressed ‘Sorrow’, chose Ahn Ye-eun’s ‘Full Bloom’, and the soft emotions of Akki and the poignant sorrow of Ahn Ye-eun created a divine harmony, evoking deep feelings.
The finale featured Son Tae-jin, Crystal Kay, and Nakazawa Takuya in an OST genre battle. Crystal Kay directly proposed a duet to Son Tae-jin, saying, “You’re so cool and amazing,” and Son Tae-jin made everyone laugh by doing the Doom Ba dance.
