Jimin of the group BTS, who is currently serving in the military, shared an update with fans.
On the 29th, Jimin posted on the fan platform Weverse, saying, “I enlisted in December of the year before last, and now two years have passed. I have been serving for about 1 year and 2 months, and it really feels like time flows differently here.”
He continued, “It’s not easy, but I am learning and experiencing things, so I am looking forward to the day when we can have fun conversations about the things that have happened during this time. My daily life hasn’t changed much. Since it’s the military, I train, work, and exercise, and before I know it, the day has passed and it’s time to sleep again.”
Jimin also mentioned, “The only difference is that after the new year, the conversations that Jungkook and I have before going to bed have changed a lot. The days to meet ARMY are getting closer, so we are having many conversations about what we need to prepare before we meet again, what kind of appearances we will show in the future, and what kind of lives we will lead.”
He added, “To be honest, I do feel a bit scared. It has been quite a while since we all performed together, and it has been some time since we dedicated ourselves fully to the stage and music, so I feel a bit anxious. However, my determination to present the best stage for everyone who has waited for us has not changed. I will prepare hard. Really. I will do my best. I will return in a really good form.”
Jimin expressed, “Until the day I meet our ARMY, whom I miss and am so grateful for, I hope you all stay healthy and have days filled with happiness. Happy New Year, ARMY, I love you.”
Meanwhile, Jimin enlisted alongside Jungkook in December 2023 and is expected to be discharged in June.
