Singer and musical actor Lee Changsub reflected on his solo activities and shared his New Year's resolutions.
On the 20th, Lee Changsub revealed a photoshoot and interview through the February issue of fashion magazine Vogue Korea.
In the photoshoot, Lee Changsub stylishly pulled off various styles of suits, showcasing a dandy and sophisticated visual. The black-and-white shots captured his chic gaze and aura, drawing attention.
In the accompanying interview, Lee Changsub talked about his various solo activities, including his first full-length album '1991', the hit song 'Cheonsangyeon', and the successful nationwide tour 'The Wayfarer'.
He emphasized the significance of his first album, stating, "It is a trace of solo Lee Changsub and the period's full stop for me," adding, "I recorded 10 songs a month, almost as a catharsis. The process was not easy, so it holds special meaning."
Lee Changsub, who participated in writing the lyrics for the double title track '33' and the fan song 'Yes, as always', expressed his hope that "the song should not only be my story but also yours. I wish for the lyrics to evoke emotions in the listeners."
Having received great love with 'Cheonsangyeon', which topped the TJ karaoke chart in 2024, Lee Changsub said, "I am astonished and thrilled to see my name at the top of the karaoke chart. This is the first time in my 13-year career as a singer. I am grateful to everyone who made this song possible."
He also mentioned, "This year, I plan to show more of my side as a ballad vocalist," raising expectations for his musical activities.
Running a practical music academy, Lee Changsub stated, "I believe my ultimate role in music is to nurture the next generation. I hope to contribute, even a little, to help young friends develop and become artists who create diverse music."
After completing his nationwide tour 'The Wayfarer' earlier this month, Lee Changsub will hold an encore concert at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Olympic Park, Seoul, on February 7, 8, and 9. He reflected, "Fortunately, as the number of performances increased, the audience gradually grew. I thought it would be a long journey, but it ended in the blink of an eye. Traveling across the country on a tour bus felt completely like 'Team Changsub', which was reassuring."
He added, "I have wanted to be a performance-oriented singer for a long time. Standing on stage is the essence of my profession and my proof. I want to stand on more stages as a vocalist this year because that is when I feel most like myself," solidifying his determination for 2025.
The 2025 Lee Changsub solo encore concert will be held on February 7 at 8 PM, February 8 at 6 PM, and February 9 at 5 PM at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Olympic Park, Seoul. Lee Changsub will continue the 'The Wayfarer' tour in Taiwan on February 2 and in Manila on March 22.
