The movie ‘Harbin’ (directed by Woo Min-ho) has surpassed 4 million viewers.
‘Harbin’ surpassed 4 million viewers based on the integrated ticket sales network of theaters as of January 11. Since its release on December 24, the film has maintained the number one spot at the overall box office for 19 consecutive days and has held the top position in advance ticket sales for 28 consecutive days, now surpassing 4 million viewers.
Cast members including Hyun Bin and Lee Dong-wook expressed their gratitude to the audience with heartfelt messages and certification photos.
‘Harbin’, a historical film, has begun sales and sequential releases in 117 countries worldwide, which is rare for this genre. With successful overseas sales and additional rights contracts, the break-even point has been reduced from 6.5 million to 5.8 million viewers.
As new films are set to be released during the Lunar New Year holiday, it is expected that the number of viewers this weekend will be a key indicator of achieving the break-even point.
