Singer Lyn confessed the difficulties she faced after marrying Lee Soo.
On the 26th of last month, a video titled ‘Lyn, until she became free from people's gaze!’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘PDC’.
In the video, when asked, “I thought it would be difficult after getting married. Because expressions get distorted. I think I felt like something was added on top of my expression,” Lyn replied, “That seems to be true. I was a very good prey. My SNS was the focus, and whenever I posted something, articles like that would come out. So it became scary to express myself.”
She continued, “They say, ‘Don’t use SNS,’ but I had this strange stubbornness of ‘I don’t want to, so why should I? I just want to document myself, and my fans will see it too, so why shouldn’t I do it?’ My husband always faced these things with his whole body, so I felt sorry and uncomfortable, and then I ended up feeling sorry for myself.”
Lyn also said, “I could just stay still, but I was scratching the surface. I just wanted to say what’s not true isn’t true, but looking back, I think I wanted to fight. I think I wanted to win. That wasn’t helpful for me or my husband. Now I know that was wrong, and I know how to stop and be quiet, so I realize that time solves things like this. I feel very at ease.”
She added, “Now, I’m not uncomfortable talking about this. In the past, I thought, ‘If I talk about this, won’t arrows fly towards my husband?’ I understand the feelings of those who say they don’t like it, but there are also those who don’t feel that way. So, my husband and I sing together. I’ve learned that we can focus on the positive and exclude the negative, so I don’t feel uncomfortable.”
Lee Soo was charged with soliciting prostitution by paying A, whom he met online in 2009. Lee Soo admitted to the act of prostitution at the time but claimed he did not know the other party was a minor. The following year, the court suspended prosecution on the condition that Lee Soo complete education for repeat offenders of solicitation.
In 2019, when a netizen mentioned Lee Soo's prostitution case, Lyn engaged in a heated debate, saying, “I’m not asking to be forgotten and forgiven. Prostitution is a fact, but falsehoods abound within it.” Lyn married Lee Soo in 2014.
