On the 1st, Netflix released a special teaser poster for 'Squid Game' Season 3 on social media. The poster features the character Young-hee, symbolizing 'Squid Game', along with the appearance of Cheolsu, who made a surprise appearance in the post-credits scene of the Season 2 finale.
With the introduction of a new doll, it seems that a new game will be featured in Season 3.
Netflix is set to release Season 3, the conclusion of the 'Squid Game' series, this year. Previously, director Hwang Dong-hyuk mentioned in an interview with foreign media that Season 3 could be released as early as the summer of 2025.
According to Netflix's official site 'Netflix Top 10', the viewing time for 'Squid Game 2' in the fourth week of December (23rd-29th) was recorded at 487.6 million hours. Dividing this by the total runtime (7 hours and 10 minutes), the number of views amounts to 68 million. This not only ranks first in the non-English TV category but also shows overwhelmingly longer viewing times compared to the English TV category and both English and non-English film categories during the same period.
