Hollywood actress Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director and co-star of the film "It Ends with Us," for sexual harassment and defamation.
On the 22nd (local time), American media outlets such as Page Six and People reported that "Blake Lively has sued Justin Baldoni." According to the reports, Blake Lively claims that Justin Baldoni spontaneously added an unconsented kiss scene during filming and made sexually inappropriate comments.
She also alleged that when she attempted to expose the issue, Justin Baldoni and the production company organized a campaign to manipulate public opinion on online communities and social media to defame her.
In response, Justin Baldoni and the production company's attorney stated that Blake Lively's lawsuit is "an attempt to rectify her negative reputation during the film's campaign," claiming that "Blake Lively's allegations are false, absurd, and exaggerated with the intent to publicly harm (Justin Baldoni and the production company)."
In relation to this, colleagues are sending support to Blake Lively. Director Paul Feig, who previously worked with Blake Lively on the film "A Simple Favor," said on social media, "It's terrible that Blake Lively has to go through this." Additionally, actors America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn issued a statement expressing solidarity with Blake Lively in her fight against the campaign to defame her.
