IVE's Jang Wonyoung illuminated the '2024 KBS K-Pop Festival' with her diverse activities.
On the 20th, she took on the role of MC for the '2024 KBS K-Pop Festival Global Festival' (hereinafter referred to as '2024 KBS K-Pop Festival') and showcased a collaboration with Jinuson, enriching the year-end stage.
Appearing in the opening VCR, Jang Wonyoung enjoyed LPs while swaying to the rhythms of Rosé's 'APT', ENHYPEN's 'XO (Only If You Say Yes)', god's 'Road', and Yoon Soo-il's 'Apartment' in a dreamy atmosphere. This mix of past and present songs heightened the anticipation for a stage that spans generations.
As the main stage began, Jang Wonyoung appeared from a lift in the center of the stage wearing a pink long dress. She opened with the opening remarks, saying, "Our '2024 KBS K-Pop Festival Global Festival', where music unites us across time and space, I am Jang Wonyoung, joining the 'K-Pop Festival' for the third consecutive year." Her clean and stable hosting, along with her witty remarks, showcased perfect chemistry with the other MCs, leading the broadcast while radiating her unique positive energy and adding vibrancy to the stage.
Following this, she performed 'Tell Me' with Jinuson, in line with the festival's concept of 'K-Pop musicians traversing different times and spaces, infinitely connected through music', titled 'Infinity'.
Jang Wonyoung paid homage to Uhm Jung-hwa's past performance of 'Tell Me' by wearing a black mini dress and singing the song, perfectly embodying the concept and showcasing a different charm from her MC role, eliciting a hot response.
Jang Wonyoung will serve as MC for the '9th Asia Artist Awards' in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 27th, marking her fourth consecutive year in this role.
