The drama 'Jumping with Seon-up', starring Byun Woo-seok, has been selected as the best Korean drama of the year.

Recently, the American weekly magazine TIME announced its list of 'Top 10 K-Dramas of 2024', where 'Jumping with Seon-up' (written by Lee Si-eun / directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Tae-yeop) took the top honor as the best K-drama of 2024.

In second place was 'Jeongnyeoni' (directed by Jeong Ji-in / written by Choi Hyo-bi). As the first Korean drama to focus on female traditional music, 'Jeongnyeoni' has revived interest in our traditional sounds, not only among domestic viewers but also internationally. It has generated significant buzz across the cultural sector, even bringing a refreshing breeze to the performing arts scene.

In the 'Top 10 K-Dramas of 2024' announced by TIME, CJ ENM's works swept the top two spots, with all five of CJ ENM's productions making it into the TOP 10. TIME highlighted the strength of K-content as Korean-style storytelling, stating, "2024 is the golden age of Korean TV."

Following that, the TVING original series 'Pyramid Game', featuring Kim Ji-yeon and Jang Da-ah, ranked 7th, while 'Marry My Husband', starring Park Min-young and Na In-woo, came in 8th. The TVING original series 'Lee Jae, Soon to Die', featuring Seo In-guk, Park So-dam, and Kim Ji-hoon, was ranked 9th.

Notably, while most of the best K-dramas announced by TIME in the past three years were Netflix releases, this year saw a diverse range of works introduced through various OTT platforms making it into the top 10, drawing attention.
