The web entertainment show ‘Pungyang High’ has postponed its video release.
The YouTube channel ‘Tteun Tteun’ announced on the 6th that “the episode of ‘Pungyang High’ scheduled to be uploaded this Sunday (8th) has been decided to take a week off.”
‘Pungyang High’ is a spin-off of the web entertainment show ‘Pinggye High’, featuring the travel stories of broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Seok-jin, Yang Se-chan, and actor Hwang Jung-min in Hanoi and Sapa, Vietnam. The ‘Tteun Tteun’ team did not specify the exact reason for the cancellation, but it is speculated that it was influenced by President Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration and subsequent lifting of the state of emergency.
President Yoon Suk-yeol declared a state of emergency through a public address on the 3rd at 10:25 PM, but declared its lifting at 4:27 AM on the 4th, about 6 hours later, in response to demands from the National Assembly.
On the afternoon of the 7th, a vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol will take place in the National Assembly. As a result, the entertainment industry is also being affected, with dramas and variety shows being canceled one after another due to the scheduling of news specials.
