Netflix has begun recruiting participants for the variety show 'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War' Season 2.
Baek Jong-won and Ahn Seong-jae announced in the participant recruitment video for 'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War' Season 2, released on the 3rd, that "we are recruiting new participants for this season 2," raising expectations.
Baek Jong-won expressed his hope that "there will be participants that even I didn't know about," emphasizing that "age and experience don't matter; as long as you have the confidence to cook deliciously, you can challenge yourself. It just needs to be tasty."
Ahn Seong-jae also expressed his hope, saying, "It would be great if we could uncover hidden black chefs like mining diamonds," encouraging skilled individuals from the shadows to apply.
The judging criteria hinted at by Baek Jong-won, who said "taste from start to finish," and Ahn Seong-jae, who mentioned "I think I need to be a bit more objective and have my own clear standards," adds to the intrigue. The fiery journey to find the best 'taste' also heightens expectations.
Baek Jong-won stated, "If the person I have in mind appears, I will have to come prepared this time. I won't bend my opinion until the end," while Ahn Seong-jae remarked, "Rather than fighting, I will not back down," already making fans look forward to Season 2.
The only qualification to participate in 'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War,' which competes solely based on taste, is simple. Anyone who is confident in their 'taste' can apply now through Netflix Korea's official SNS.
'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War' features skilled black spoon chefs, renowned for their exceptional taste, challenging the top star chefs, the white spoons, in a fierce culinary class war among 100 participants. It achieved the remarkable feat of ranking first in Netflix's global TOP 10 non-English category for three consecutive weeks, sparking a K-cooking survival syndrome worldwide. Season 2 will be released in the second half of next year.
