Myung Se-bin reveals that after her divorce, she struggled to find work and had to sell her bags to make ends meet.
In the sixth episode of the jointly produced entertainment show "Because I'm Single," airing on SBS Plus and E Channel at 8:40 PM on the 3rd, Myung Se-bin embarks on her first solo getaway to Yangyang, Gangwon Province.
On this day, Myung Se-bin expresses, "I really wanted to experience a getaway," and adds, "I love the East Sea, so I chose Yangyang as my first getaway destination," before setting off in a camper van. Upon arriving at the campsite, she sets up her equipment, but as a camping novice, she struggles, providing some humorous moments.
During her struggles, she receives help from a man, and they naturally start a conversation. When Myung Se-bin mentions that her camper van looks lonely without lights, the man not only lends her his lights but also comes over to turn them on, filling the surroundings with a pink glow.
As interest grows in whether Myung Se-bin's "getaway trip" will lead to a romantic encounter, her close friend, actress Kang Rae-yeon, surprises her with a visit to the campsite. Kang Rae-yeon, who happened to be in the area, contacted Myung Se-bin after seeing a video of the Yangyang sea on her SNS, leading to an impromptu meeting.
After their joyful reunion, the two begin cooking with a king crab weighing 3.8 kg, but challenges arise. The wind blows, causing their equipment to fly away, and they run out of gas. However, just as Myung Se-bin is in a panic, the "Yangyang man" appears to help her in every way possible. After overcoming various obstacles, Myung Se-bin successfully cooks the king crab and generously shares it with the "Yangyang man," saying, "Please let me know if it's delicious," creating a sweet moment.
Later, Myung Se-bin reflects on her difficult times, saying, "After my divorce in my 30s, I had no work for a long time." She continues, "Everyone has their own light, but I felt like that was shattered because of the divorce," sharing her feelings for the first time after her divorce.
Chae-rim comments, "I think people in the broadcasting industry would work with an open mind, but in reality, they are very conservative," and adds, "Even those who have gone through something like Myung Se-bin are thinking this way, so for someone like me..." expressing her empathy.
Myung Se-bin candidly shares with Kang Rae-yeon, "Honestly, I had no money because I had no work. So, I even tried selling my bags."
