The appearance of President Lee Jae-myung and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung on JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator', which was scheduled to air on the 5th during the Chuseok holiday, has been urgently postponed due to the sad news of a public servant's death.

On the 4th, the presidential office stated that they had politely requested JTBC to postpone the broadcast, considering that all ministries would hold a moment of mourning for the public servant who died due to the recent network failure caused by a fire at the National Intelligence Resource Management Agency.

In response, JTBC officially confirmed, "The Chuseok special episode of 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator', which was scheduled to air on the 5th, has been rescheduled to 10 PM on the 6th."

Initially, the presidential couple was set to appear in the 'Chuseok Special, K-Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' episode to promote K-food made with seasonal ingredients and engage with the public. The recording took place on the afternoon of the 28th, after the fire incident.

According to Kim Nam-jun, spokesperson for the presidential office, President Lee has been closely monitoring the situation and directing the response since the fire occurred. He received reports frequently starting from the night of the 26th, when he returned from a visit to the U.S., and chaired an emergency response meeting in the morning of the 28th, followed by a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters in the afternoon, directing a full-scale response.

Despite the thorough management of the situation by the presidential office, the unfortunate news was conveyed, leading to the decision to postpone the airing of the entertainment program, as it could potentially cause misunderstandings or not align with the public sentiment.
