Actress Bae Doona shared her feelings about reuniting with actors Maeda Aki, Kashii Yuu, Sekine Shiori, and director Yamashita Nobuhiro after 20 years, who worked together on 'Linda Linda Linda'.
On the afternoon of the 12th, a press screening and media conference for the 20th anniversary re-release of 'Linda Linda Linda' in 4K remastering was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. Attendees included actress Bae Doona, Maeda Aki, Kashii Yuu, Sekine Shiori, and director Yamashita Nobuhiro.
When asked what he talked about with the 'Linda Linda Linda' actors after 20 years, director Yamashita Nobuhiro confessed, "I don't really remember what we talked about. Rather than saying we had a conversation, it felt like we just returned to the atmosphere of 20 years ago when the four of us met."

He continued, "When we were making 'Linda Linda Linda', even after filming was over, I felt it was just like the movie when I saw them practicing whenever they had free time. Since we were on a residential location shoot, I thought the high school girls were actually practicing and improving their skills, which matched the flow of the film. Looking back, it seems like a simple story, but I think it’s a film where many things came together well."
Regarding meeting the actors again after 20 years, Bae Doona said, "We were really the same. Right now in Korea, I did the same promotional schedule in Tokyo. When I arrived in Tokyo, the actors who were getting their makeup done ran out in the middle to greet me."
Bae Doona remarked, "Even though we hadn't seen each other in over a decade, they welcomed me like kids jumping around just like before," and added, "Suddenly, it felt natural to return to that time." She confessed, "Of course, the topics of our conversations have changed from before. I found myself asking about cooking a lot. As I get older, I talk about different things than I did as a teenager."
In response to Bae Doona's comment, Kashii Yuu humorously replied, "On the contrary, we asked, 'Do you cook?'" which elicited laughter.
The 4K remastering of 'Linda Linda Linda' depicts the clumsy yet sparkling youth of a high school girl band preparing for a festival to celebrate the end of their high school life, featuring a Korean exchange student named 'Song' who becomes the vocalist by chance. Directed by Yamashita Nobuhiro, the film gained attention with Bae Doona in the lead role. It is set to be released on September 17.
