Speed skating legend Lee Sang-hwa stepped up as a special coach for her husband Kangnam's 'subway friend'.
On the 4th, a video titled "Subway Friend Seung-ri's Health Wish Project, Couple Diet Coaching with World-Class Coach Sang-hwa" was released on the YouTube channel 'Neighborhood Friend Kangnami'.
On that day, Kangnam visited the gym with his subway friend Choi Seung-ri, whom he met while appearing on 'I Live Alone'. Kangnam shared, "Many people were worried about my weight after the last broadcast," updating on his current situation. Choi Seung-ri revealed, "I lost 10kg in two months," but still seemed to need further weight loss.
The one who appeared to help them was none other than gold medalist Lee Sang-hwa. Kangnam introduced his wife, saying, "I invited her for Seung-ri, who is about to get married. She is the best athlete around us." After looking at the InBody results, Lee Sang-hwa firmly diagnosed, "Body fat amount 50kg, BMI 40.9... It's a child. No need to look. Just exercise," and began serious coaching.
Before starting the workout, Choi Seung-ri made a shocking statement. He revealed his past drinking capacity, saying, "I used to drink about 8 to 9 bottles of 640ml soju." Kangnam was astonished, saying, "He really drank 1 liter of soju before going to bed. He's stronger than me." Lee Sang-hwa shook her head, emphasizing the need for management again.
The three seriously discussed exercise and eating habits. Kangnam confessed, "Actually, we as a couple also love alcohol and food," and Choi Seung-ri turned the atmosphere around by saying, "I have now quit drinking."
Kangnam and Choi Seung-ri's friendship began in 2014 on MBC's 'I Live Alone'. At that time, Kangnam, who sat next to him on the subway, initiated a conversation, and the two have maintained their friendship ever since.
Meanwhile, Kangnam married Lee Sang-hwa in October 2019. Lee Sang-hwa is a legend known as the 'Ice Queen', having won gold medals in the women's 500m speed skating at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
