The SBS variety show ‘Running Man’ aired on the afternoon of the 7th, featuring a ‘Time Attack Punishment Fighter’ race where the members had to complete all scheduled tasks within a limited time while being trapped in a room to be able to leave work.
In this episode, the members had to choose and move to places associated with ‘Gangnam’ while scattered. Yoo Jae-suk moved to Han River Park.
Upon arriving at the Han River, Yoo Jae-suk sighed, saying, “There’s so much trash... Why is this happening, everyone?” and began picking up trash. He continued, “I’m sure we rested here, but why is this here... There’s a trash can right behind it,” expressing his anger while picking up the trash.
After 5 minutes of the race, he met Ha Ha, but Yoo Jae-suk continued to pick up trash.
While heading to Han River Park, Ji Suk-jin decided to leave the Han River. Ha Ha suggested, “If you’re at Han River, you should eat ramen!” but eventually left the Han River due to Yoo Jae-suk's firm insistence. At that moment, Ji Suk-jin's walkie-talkie rang as he passed by Yoo Jae-suk's vehicle, but Yoo Jae-suk just left.
Later, Yoo Jae-suk and Ha Ha met Yang Se-chan and Choi Daniel at Apgujeong Rodeo. While looking for Kim Jong-kook in Gangnam, two penalty candidates were confirmed after 40 minutes had passed. After a series of twists and turns, the members met Ji Suk-jin, Song Ji-hyo, and Ji Yeo-eun, but after 60 minutes, the number of penalty candidates increased to three.
The members gathered at the mission location to carry out the first mission of the ‘Time Attack Punishment Fighter’. The production team announced, “The mission sent by Jeon So-min is ‘3-Minute Cooking to the Song’. One representative will sing the 3-minute recipe to the tune, and the other two will cook accordingly. You earn 1 point for each correctly executed recipe. If it is rated delicious after a taste test, you get 5 points.”
Upon hearing that Jeon So-min contacted them, the members were surprised, asking, “So-min? Do you keep in touch with So-min?” Ji Suk-jin happily suggested, “Let’s ask her to come out.”
As the first runner, Yoo Jae-suk sang while Ji Suk-jin and Yang Se-chan started cooking. Ji Suk-jin complained, “Why does your pronunciation sound like that?” but Yang Se-chan calmly followed the lyrics to cook. Kim Jong-kook was impressed, saying, “Se-chan is doing well!”
When Ji Yeo-eun said, “It smells good,” Yang Se-chan asked, “Ji Yeo-eun! How is it? What do you think of a man who cooks?” and patted her head. Ji Yeo-eun screamed, “Oh no!” in shock. After tasting Yang Se-chan's pad thai, Yoo Jae-suk nodded if it was delicious, while Ji Yeo-eun, who tasted Ji Suk-jin's food, spat it out, saying, “Oh! I can’t eat this! It smells bad.”
The second cooking competition was between Song Ji-hyo and Choi Daniel. Choi Daniel cooked smoothly according to Yoo Jae-suk's lyrics, but Song Ji-hyo, being the big-handed one, made it greasy by adding a whole stick of butter. Ji Yeo-eun, who tasted Choi Daniel's pasta, exclaimed, “Mmm, it’s delicious! I want to eat a whole bowl of this,” which made Yoo Jae-suk ask, “What? Is that flirting?” causing laughter.
Next, the production team held a quiz game for gold. They asked, “What is the name of this count, which is also the name of a fried sandwich?” and Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Yeo-eun, Kim Jong-kook, and Choi Daniel answered ‘Monte Cristo’ correctly. On the other hand, Ha Ha, who couldn’t hold up his sketchbook, raised it when asked to reveal the answer, and all the production staff laughed, prompting him to lower the sketchbook again.
Ha Ha wrote down ‘Isaac’. Yoo Jae-suk was baffled, saying, “No, I like that too, but...” Ha Ha declared, “I really don’t want to do this. It’s my birthday, can I be honest? I don’t want to do it,” which made everyone laugh.
The members who earned 4g of gold played a game where they had to bounce a ball off a stick and put it in a box. After 25 attempts, they succeeded in the first stage, increasing the gold to 5g. However, they lost all the gold they had collected in the next game.
The final game was the departure mission. The members had to choose 8 real key cards from 30 cards and open the door behind them before 4 PM to leave.
Yang Se-chan, Choi Daniel, Ji Yeo-eun, Song Ji-hyo, and Ji Suk-jin, who picked the departure cards, successfully left in order, while Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook, and Ha Ha were confirmed for the penalty. Kim Jong-kook, upon hearing what penalty the five who picked the departure cards would face, exclaimed, “Let’s go! Hurry up! Don’t tell me!” in frustration.
The penalty for the three was to make gelato by stirring ice cream 100 times. After much effort, the three succeeded in making gelato and left work late.
