Myungjae Hyun of BOYNEXTDOOR has bid farewell as the host of Mnet's 'M Countdown'.

On the broadcast that aired on the 4th, Myungjae Hyun stepped down from the MC role of 'M Countdown'. He has been leading the program for 1 year and 8 months since January of last year.

During the broadcast, Myungjae Hyun expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I would like to thank the viewers who have sent us great support and love over the past 603 days, and to ONEDOOR (the fandom name) for the unforgettable memories. I hope that our MCs will remain in your hearts forever." Additionally, the members visited the set to support him during the final recording, adding warmth to the moment. Along with this, he concluded his journey by presenting a special stage of Lee Mujin's 'Youth Cartoon' with Zero Base One's Seong Hanbin.

After the broadcast ended, Myungjae Hyun shared his thoughts through KOZ Entertainment, saying, "I am truly grateful to have had so many experiences while facing all of you who call me 'the best MC'. I will come back as Myungjae Hyun of BOYNEXTDOOR from now on."

Myungjae Hyun received great love for adding vitality to the program with his natural hosting and sharp reactions. Various special performances also garnered attention. In particular, the stage of Taeyang's 'I Need A Girl' with Lee Youngji surpassed 11.33 million views on YouTube (as of the 4th). The stage of 'Fighting Should Be Done' by BSS, featuring fellow MC Seong Hanbin and Rise's Sohee, also gained popularity. In January, after the team's activities ended, he made headlines by performing all the songs during an encore stage when their digital single 'Today Only I LOVE YOU' received a 1st place trophy.

Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Riu, Myungjae Hyun, Taesan, Lee Han, Unhak), to which Myungjae Hyun belongs, has been appointed as the first Korean artists to serve as global ambassadors for the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship. They are set to attend the opening ceremony at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, on the 12th, where they will grace the finale stage.
