Heo Seong-beom candidly revealed the reality of KAIST's classes and scholarship system. The statement, “Everyone is a scholarship student, and they even give us pocket money,” left all the cast members astonished.

On July 31, the MBC show ‘Save Me! Homes’ featured national fencing representative Oh Sang-wook and broadcaster Heo Seong-beom introducing the Daejeon area. Heo Seong-beom personally guided the KAIST campus he graduated from and shared some episodes.

He explained, “KAIST's campus is a quarter the size of Seoul National University, but it has many more buildings,” and shared some structural characteristics. He also provided practical tips, saying, “When you first enroll, it’s common to ride a bicycle or scooter because you can’t find the classrooms.”

Continuing his college stories, Heo Seong-beom said, “Classes at KAIST are conducted in English. It’s tough at first if you can’t speak English, but after just one year, you can read papers and attend all the classes.”

The other cast members were amazed, asking, “Is it really only in English?” and “What if you don’t understand?”

Heo Seong-beom continued, “Everyone is a scholarship student, and tuition is free. We also receive about 150,000 to 200,000 won as pocket money every month,” which stirred excitement in the studio. When Park Na-rae asked, “Do graduate students also receive scholarships?” he replied, “Yes, but it varies depending on the lab situation.”

Heo Seong-beom, who was also active in a modeling club during his time at KAIST, recreated campus life with a cheerful energy that resonated with the audience. Comments included reactions like “KAIST feels like a village” and “The complex terrain is attractive.”

Meanwhile, Heo Seong-beom continues his broadcasting activities through various entertainment shows, showcasing both knowledge and wit on ‘Save Me! Homes’.
