‘MZ Wannabe Icon’ IVE (IVE: An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo) has announced the return of the ‘K-Pop Music Queen’ ahead of their comeback at the end of August.
IVE appeared on the ‘2025 SBS Music Awards Summer’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘Music Awards’), which was broadcast live through SBS play and Chijijik on the 26th, and surprised everyone by revealing part of their new song.
On this day, IVE opened the stage with ‘Rebel Heart,’ which was pre-released in January. Having recently dominated global festival stages such as ‘Lollapalooza Berlin’ and ‘Lollapalooza Paris,’ they overwhelmed the atmosphere with their standout energy and relaxed stage manners among the dancers.
Right after the ‘Rebel Heart’ stage, the LED screen displayed the phrase ‘Secret,’ and shortly after, IVE unveiled part of the audio and performance of their new song, set to be released in August. Fans responded with enthusiastic cheers to the surprise spoiler that unfolded without prior notice, and the dreamy sound and addictive performance quickly spread on social media, generating a hot response.
Afterward, IVE stated, “Last year at the ‘2024 Music Awards,’ when we spoiled ‘Rebel Heart,’ you all loved it so much that we brought another surprise gift this time.” Including this day, the leader An Yujin, who has been the MC for the ‘Music Awards’ until today (27th), added, “As the MC, I have special authority to show you one more time,” and revealed another key choreography section, further raising the excitement in the venue. The members expressed, “We are preparing hard for our comeback to blow away your heat. Please love IVE’s new album a lot.”
IVE concluded the event with a powerful performance of the title track ‘Attitude’ from their mini album 3, leaving a strong aftertaste. Additionally, Liz showcased her deep emotionality and vocal abilities through a collaboration stage with Jannabi titled ‘Our Night is More Beautiful than Your Day,’ receiving positive reviews, while An Yujin proved her stable hosting skills and unique presence once again by leading the ‘Music Awards’ for four consecutive years.
IVE has recently confirmed their comeback at the end of August, signaling the start of their full-scale activities. Previously, they achieved a total of 15 music show wins with their third mini album ‘IVE EMPATHY,’ including 11 wins for ‘Rebel Heart’ and 4 wins for ‘Attitude,’ and they continue to dominate the monthly charts of major domestic music sites, raising global music fans' expectations for this comeback more than ever.
Meanwhile, the ‘2025 SBS Music Awards Summer,’ featuring An Yujin as the MC and IVE as performers, will be available to watch again through future broadcasts. An Yujin is expected to continue her role as MC in the ‘Music Awards’ broadcast live today (27th) through SBS play and Chijijik.
