‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ is going back to the 80s to hold a music festival that captures the essence of that time.
In the upcoming episode of the MBC entertainment program ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ airing on the 26th, Yoo Jae-suk PD and writer Haha will be seen forming the ‘80s MBC Seoul Music Festival Promotion Committee.
In the released photos, PD Yoo and writer Haha are seen excitedly heading to work after their project proposal was finally approved. Tasked with promoting the music festival, PD Yoo and Haha plan to create a festival that exclusively features songs from the 80s, setting it apart from other music festivals.
The two expressed, “Singing well is a given, but we are looking for those who embody the 80s vibe,” raising curiosity about whether they can find voices that can stylishly deliver the classic hits of the 80s.
The office scenery, where the two seem to have traveled back in time to the 80s, also draws viewers in. Audition participants are sending in ‘recording tapes’ to catch attention. The applicants' nicknames are also named after famous places in 80s Seoul, aiming to evoke nostalgia. It raises curiosity about who the owners of the recording tapes might be.
Among them, Joo Woo-jae and Lee Yi-kyung have also applied for the surprise audition, generating excitement. They reportedly sang 80s songs with an unexpected twist. It will be interesting to see if Yoo Jae-suk and Haha can recognize Joo Woo-jae and Lee Yi-kyung among the various voices and what their reactions will be.
