Actors Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young revealed that they had an unpleasant experience of suspected racism while visiting a famous local café during their family trip to Italy.
On the 19th, a video titled ‘The Final Episode of Son Tae-young ♥ Kwon Sang-woo’s Luxury Family Trip to Italy, Featuring a Yacht’ was posted on Son Tae-young’s YouTube channel ‘Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young’.
In the video, the couple enjoyed their trip to Italy with their daughter, Lee Ho, but encountered an unexpected and absurd situation at a local famous café.

Son Tae-young exposed that the café staff did not take their orders properly and displayed a very unfriendly attitude by carelessly throwing plates. He expressed strong displeasure, stating, “The staff here lack sincerity. They throw the plates.” His daughter, Lee Ho, also could not hide her anger, saying, “Should I look away when we leave?”
Some have pointed out that this experience goes beyond mere rudeness and reflects a racist attitude towards Asian tourists. In particular, Son Tae-young in the video showed a sense of urgency to wrap up their meal, saying, “Let’s just eat casually. Let’s just enjoy the atmosphere,” which evoked sympathy.

Previously, in February of last year, Son Tae-young shared her daughter Lee Ho’s experience of racism at a school in the U.S. through YouTube.
At that time, Lee Ho said, “A boy called me ‘You’re Japanian’,” and pointed out, “The correct term is Japanese, and such remarks are also disrespectful to Japanese people.”
In response, Son Tae-young explained, “While the friend may not have known, it’s important to teach them well.”

Meanwhile, Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young got married in 2008 and have one son and one daughter. They regularly share their family life through their YouTube channel, maintaining communication with their fans.
