Composer Joo Young-hoon shared his recent status with a photo alongside his wife Lee Yoon-mi after successfully undergoing a life-threatening surgery.
On the 3rd, Joo Young-hoon posted a family photo from his hospital room on his social media, stating, “Second day of a happy trip to Jeju… I was taken to the emergency room with excruciating abdominal pain. The test results showed acute appendicitis with sepsis.”
Joo Young-hoon underwent emergency surgery and, after a painful time in the ICU, is currently recovering in a general ward.
In the photo he shared, he was sitting on the hospital bed in a patient gown, with his wife Lee Yoon-mi affectionately sitting next to him. He had removed his mask, and a hospital wristband was still on his wrist.
Notably, Lee Yoon-mi matched a bright pink beret and skirt, gently resting her hand on her husband's shoulder. Behind her bright smile, the message “But I’m still by your side” conveyed unspoken emotions.
The next shot captured the entire family walking together in the hospital corridor. Joo Young-hoon, holding an IV bag, was surrounded by his children and wife, creating a scene of warmth. Although their expressions varied, the family moment created in the hospital space resonated deeply. Lee Yoon-mi's words, “The power of prayer, thank you so much. I am recovering surprisingly quickly,” added to the emotion.
