MBN is launching a global survival baking competition titled 'Bake Your Dream (tentative title)'.
On the 11th, MBN stated, "Thanks to the recent 'K-Bakery craze' that has captivated the taste buds of people around the world, we will broadcast a global baking competition to select the best bakers in the second half of 2025," adding, "Please stay tuned to see who will emerge as the strongest among the bakers who have become a cultural trend beyond just food."
MBN's 'Bake Your Dream (tentative title)' is a global survival entertainment show where 100 bakers from around the world, including master bakers from various regions and world-renowned pastry chefs, gather to showcase their skills in a baking competition that the world will pay attention to.
In line with the K-Bakery craze that has taken the world by storm following K-Food, the show aims to delight both the eyes and taste buds by adding new flavors to the beloved tastes that have been consistently enjoyed. It promises the birth of Hallyu baking content that captures global attention and expands the bakery industry, featuring challenges from renowned chefs both domestically and internationally, as well as participation from professional bakers from countries like France and Thailand, and celebrity bakers who are hobbyists.
'Bake Your Dream (tentative title)' goes beyond a simple competition, providing a special opportunity for small business bakers and emerging pastry chefs to challenge themselves on the world stage. It aims to turn the dreams of self-employed small business owners into reality, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and growth, and is expected to elevate the status of K-Bakery globally in collaboration with K-Bakery Global Co., Ltd.
The judging panel for the 100 participants will consist of living legends in the baking industry, Michelin-starred chefs, leading figures in the Thai dessert scene, a star pastry chef who has won the Blue Ribbon Survey seven times, and the oldest bakery representative in the country. They will evaluate each participant's capabilities from various angles to discover the ultimate baker who can captivate the taste buds of people worldwide.
The final winner will receive the opportunity to launch new products with a bakery company, along with the privilege of becoming the owner of their own signature bakery. The support will not stop at simply winning; there will be practical and ongoing assistance to help with actual entrepreneurship, business expansion, and overseas entry, including spin-offs and follow-up program appearances.
Scheduled to air in the second half of this year, MBN's 'Bake Your Dream (tentative title)' will begin recruiting participants at the end of June, and applications can be submitted through the MBN website.
