Singer Son Dam-bi candidly shared the realities and hardships of parenting, showing heartfelt tears.
In a video released on the YouTube channel 'Dambi Son' on the 6th, Son Dam-bi talked about her current situation while recovering from skin treatments and taking care of her newborn.
She stated, "Instead of giving birth to Ha-e, my face and neck were covered with flat warts," and added, "A few days ago, I removed 300 flat warts. I am currently in recovery." This statement resonated with many, capturing the physical changes and pain that began with childbirth.
Additionally, Son Dam-bi shared an anecdote about participating in a '3-day parenting challenge' with her husband Lee Gyu-hyuk as new parents. She confessed, "For the first time, I took care of Ha-e all day with my brother, and I cried because it was so hard in the early morning. Tears just came out naturally."
On the other hand, her husband Lee Gyu-hyuk expressed, "It was tough, but it was good," to which Son Dam-bi responded, "Hearing that made me applaud mentally," bringing laughter.
However, Son Dam-bi commented on the realistic parenting situation, saying, "My brother helps, but he doesn't really know. Men just sleep. I am sensitive, so I wake up immediately if the baby stirs even a little," and added, "Mothers instinctively react."
She continued, "Newborns cry for no reason often. But after a while, you understand why they cry. I am currently past that stage," and shared, "The instincts of mothers are truly amazing. I really feel it's great."
At the end of the video, Son Dam-bi remarked, "The more you raise a child, the more difficult it becomes," and added, "The emotions and struggles that mothers go through are truly beyond imagination."
Meanwhile, Son Dam-bi married former national speed skater Lee Gyu-hyuk in 2022 and gave birth to their daughter Ha-e last month. She is currently balancing parenting and daily life while communicating with fans through social media.
