In the 275th episode of KBS 2TV's entertainment show ‘Newly Released Menu Restaurant’ aired on the 6th, the ordinary yet extraordinary daily life of former national swimming representative Park Tae-hwan was revealed. His ‘storm eating broadcast’ where he devoured 17 slices of bread from the morning caught the eye.

When the production team asked, “Did you lie about eating two rows of bread and actually eat one row?” Park Tae-hwan jokingly replied, “If I say two rows, it sounds like I’m a fool for eating,” eliciting laughter.

In that broadcast, Park Tae-hwan also mentioned his astonishing eating capacity during his active days. He revealed, “I used to eat about 670 plates of conveyor belt sushi and 140 pieces of sushi,” and surprised the cast by saying, “I would definitely buy and eat three to four bags of bread every other day.”

However, what is astonishing is his maintained physique despite the binge eating. Boom remarked, “Your basal metabolic rate seems to be incredibly high,” and Park Tae-hwan shared, “After the Olympics, I took a break for a while, but I lost 7kg in just a few days,” revealing the extreme physical exertion of his swimming career.

Then, Park Tae-hwan grilled hot dogs with butter and curry powder, showcasing various dishes such as sausages, Philly cheese sandwiches, and pizza. The bread he made alone amounted to a whopping 17 slices. Park Tae-hwan proved his appetite gold medal-level genes once again by saying, “I’m not full.”

Meanwhile, Park Tae-hwan is currently actively engaged in swimming education and entertainment activities.
