IU has once again left a warm story behind.

This time, not as 'Aesoon's mom', but like a real mother, she provided emotional support for child actress Shin Chaerin.

Recently, it was revealed that IU personally gifted a fish-shaped pastry truck to Shin Chaerin, who played 'Yang Geum-myung', the childhood daughter of IU's character Oh Aesoon in the Netflix series 'The Last of Us'.

IU sent a large banner to the filming site that read, “Chaerin, you’ve worked hard, thank you – Aesoon’s mom,” along with a coffee truck and a fish-shaped pastry truck. This special moment was shared on the social media of child actress Shin Chaerin's mother on the 3rd.

In the photo, Chaerin is holding a fish-shaped pastry, closing her eyes with a smile reminiscent of sunshine.

Dressed in a checkered shirt and a yellow floral skirt, she sparkled like the smallest 'protagonist' in the world in front of the warm support and love directed at her.

The banner next to the fish-shaped pastry truck also featured a friendly two-shot of IU and Chaerin.

Their embrace, resembling that of a real mother and daughter, evoked a deep affection that transcended the characters 'Aesoon and Geum-myung' in the drama.

Shin Chaerin's mother expressed her emotions, saying, “They were together, but IU didn’t say anything and surprised us by sending it to the set,” adding, “This is just… making me cry.”

She continued, “The fish-shaped pastry truck was beyond imagination. IU, who truly cherishes and loves Chaerin… it’s a gift I will never forget for a lifetime,” and added, “I always respect and love you.”

Netizens also reacted warmly, saying, “IU is truly an angel,” “The photo of Chaerin eating the fish-shaped pastry makes me cry,” “Aesoon’s mom has really become a real mom,” and “Such heartwarming stories can happen every day.”

Chaerin, holding the fish-shaped pastry with her small hands, embodies IU's heart as Aesoon. This scene from the final filming was a more touching ending than any drama.

The first fish-shaped pastry truck of my life.

“For whatever reason we met, for loving me, and for being with me for whatever reason”

I wonder what good deeds we did in our past lives to have such blessings for both Chaerin and me.

The fish-shaped pastry truck sent by IU’s mom, who thoughtfully prepared it for Chaerin’s last shoot on set.

The message, the photos, it was an emotional gift that had no missing pieces.

They were together, but IU didn’t say anything and surprised us by sending it to the set.

This is just… making me cry.

They gave us many gifts, and we were touched and grateful every time, but the fish-shaped pastry truck was truly beyond imagination. I’m speechless…

I’m grateful just for the love and care they have for Chaerin, but IU’s mom is always so thoughtful. I always respect and love you.

Many people told Chaerin, “You ate well,” and it was a day filled with even more love.

Thank you so much for giving us a gift we will never forget for a lifetime.
