Singer and songwriter Lee Jae revealed that his trainee experience helped him in the work for 'K-Demon Hunters'.
On the 13th, Lee Jae appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM's 'Lee Eun-ji's Music Plaza' (hereafter 'Music Plaza'), where he created and performed the OST 'Golden' for the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (hereafter 'K-Demon Hunters').
On that day, Lee Jae said, "I was a trainee at SM Entertainment from 2003 to 2015," adding, "It was tough not knowing when I would debut, but I learned a lot. I incorporated many of my trainee experiences into 'K-Demon Hunters'."
He continued, "Being a singer was an old dream, and I was focusing on my dream of being a songwriter. I had no plans to become a singer, but suddenly I was given the opportunity to sing in 'K-Demon Hunters'. It feels like destiny, and I thought, 'Everything happens for a reason'."
Meanwhile, 'K-Demon Hunters' tells the story of the K-pop girl group Huntress defeating a boy group made up of evil spirits called Lion Boys to protect the world with their songs. The OST 'Golden', sung by Huntress in the film, topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for a total of 8 non-consecutive weeks.
