Park Young-kyu made a statement that blurred the lines between reality and drama.
On the afternoon of the 11th, the MBC entertainment program ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Jang Woo-sung, Jang Hyo-jong, Wang Jong-seok, written by Choi Hye-jung) depicted the after-party of the Seoul Music Awards.
During the broadcast, when asked how the stage was, Park Young-kyu said, “I have never been nervous,” but revealed that he was quite nervous on stage. He then surprised everyone by confessing, “The moment I saw Kim Hee-ae that day, I was nervous, and this is something I find really hard to say... I really loved Kim Hee-ae.” All the participants' expressions stiffened, and the members showed interest by asking, “Was it a one-sided love?” and “Did you confess?”
A flustered Park Young-kyu vaguely replied, “It didn’t work out, did it?” When Yoo Jae-suk asked, “Are you talking about love in the drama?” Park Young-kyu clarified, “It didn’t happen in the drama.”
MBC’s ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ airs every Saturday at 6:30 PM.
