In “What are you doing, brother?” Haha, Joo Woo-jae, and Lee Yi-kyung shared their true feelings and spent a united night together.
The MBC Chuseok special entertainment show “What are you doing, brother?” aired on the 7th, is a spin-off of “What do you do when you play?” and captured the free-spirited 1-night, 2-day road trip of Haha, Joo Woo-jae, and Lee Yi-kyung. Although the three men have completely different styles when it comes to travel, food, and sleeping, their thoughts for each other were perfectly in sync. Their genuine brotherly chemistry, filled with playful banter and heartfelt conversations, brought laughter and emotion.
In the first episode, the three men were depicted starting their first day of travel in Jin'an, Jeollabuk-do. Upon arriving at the meeting place, Haha and Lee Yi-kyung waited for Joo Woo-jae, who was getting ready, and their playful spirits kicked in. Haha called Yoo Jae-suk to snitch on Joo Woo-jae, and Yoo Jae-suk encouraged him, saying, “He has changed to a ‘golden child’ style these days. Since he’s the youngest (?), take good care of him.”
Haha, who planned this trip, suggested they hike Myosan Mountain and then have a delicious lunch. Joo Woo-jae, who dislikes hiking and is a “forty-year-old golden child,” grumbled, “Who does this on a trip?” but reluctantly started climbing the mountain with Haha. Haha found Joo Woo-jae’s rebellious behavior amusing, saying, “He’s like my son, Dream,” while Joo Woo-jae, provoked by Haha, showed a comical side while hiking.
The three men wandered around and discovered a stream, where they dipped their feet in the water and took a moment to heal. Lee Yi-kyung, who had no slippers, carried Joo Woo-jae, creating a rare affectionate two-shot. Joo Woo-jae, conscious of the rumor about his weight being 50kg, asked, “Don’t you think I’m not being carried?” to which Lee Yi-kyung replied, “It doesn’t seem like I’m carrying a man,” eliciting laughter.
From the start of the trip, Lee Yi-kyung expressed his desire to sleep in the same bed as his brothers, but faced fierce opposition from Haha and Joo Woo-jae. This led to a basketball free throw contest to decide their sleeping arrangements. Haha and Joo Woo-jae, who had been fighting all day, united for this moment. Ultimately, Haha’s success meant that the three-way sleepover was canceled, and Joo Woo-jae sighed in relief, saying, “Three of us in one bed is a no-go.”
The conversation among the three men deepened. Lee Yi-kyung, who seems indifferent and chic, shared his gratitude for Joo Woo-jae, who is warm and caring, saying, “90% of my clothes are from him.” Joo Woo-jae initially thought Lee Yi-kyung’s bold energy didn’t match his own, but confessed, “As time went by, I realized there hasn’t been anyone who has seeped into me as slowly as him. At some point, I started to like Yi-kyung. I found myself leaning on him during filming.”
The three men expressed their affection for “What do you do when you play?” and became one. Haha shared, “Thinking about ‘What do you do when you play?’ makes my heart ache. At first, I thought it was right for Jae-suk hyung to do it alone, but I got scolded a lot for saying that. At that time, Jae-suk hyung said, ‘I was very lonely and it was hard, and you guys came in and managed it well.’”
Joo Woo-jae shared his concerns, saying, “I want to relieve Jae-suk hyung’s burden, and I want to be one with the hyungs, but it doesn’t go as freely as I want, so I’ve become more cautious.” Lee Yi-kyung expressed his gratitude towards Yoo Jae-suk, who always monitors him.
While looking at a message of affection sent by Yoo Jae-suk, he became emotional, saying, “As soon as the live broadcast ended, I received a message. On the day I was going to Japan after filming, he also sent me a message saying, ‘Yi-kyung, you worked hard, have a good trip. Just do your best. I’m always grateful.’”

Haha was amused by Joo Woo-jae’s sudden display of ‘Teto-ryeok’ and said, “Why is he acting like this?” while Lee Yi-kyung responded, “I’ve never seen this side of Woo-jae hyung before.” The trip of the three men, who opened their hearts and grew closer, left a deep impression.
