The members of ‘1 Night 2 Days’ wrapped up their cheerful trip to Uiryeong, filled with the energy of wealth.
In the episode aired on the 28th, KBS2's variety show ‘1 Night 2 Days Season 4’ (hereafter ‘1 Night 2 Days’) depicted the second story of the six members' ‘Money War’ in Uiryeong, Gyeongsangnam-do. The viewership rating was 7.4% (Nielsen Korea nationwide standard), ranking first in its time slot. The scene where all members succeeded in the morning mission and headed to the restaurant after hearing about the possibility of hiking if they had failed soared to a peak rating of 10.3%.
Upon arriving at Hanwoo Mountain in Uiryeong, the Kim Mun-cheol team (Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, DinDin) and the Ho Jun-ho team (Jo Se-ho, Lee Joon, Yoo Seon-ho) engaged in the mission ‘Who Ate the Rice Cake?’ with a wager of 10 coins. While the Kim Mun-cheol team failed to identify the member of the opposing team who ate the real rice cake, the Ho Jun-ho team successfully executed both offense and defense with clever acting and sharp deduction, earning an additional 10 coins.
After completing the outdoor mission and arriving at the base camp, the six members took a short break before the next mission. However, during the break, Yoo Seon-ho, who was suddenly called by the production team, returned to the accommodation after undergoing military-style training without knowing the reason.
Sensing something strange, Moon Se-yoon and Jo Se-ho noticed the 20 phrases of ‘Habits of the Rich’ posted on the wall of the accommodation and realized that they would receive a penalty if they violated any of them. Kim Jong-min, Lee Joon, and DinDin, who were unaware of this hidden mission, also ended up receiving penalties just like Yoo Seon-ho, reflecting on the habits of the rich with their whole bodies.
Before the final mission, which was held as an individual competition, the two teams distributed the coins they had earned from the day's mission. The members then freely moved between the onion room, gold lottery room, and silver lottery room for 30 minutes to increase their coins. Kim Jong-min and Yoo Seon-ho were lucky enough to win the lottery twice in a row, significantly increasing their coins, while DinDin faced bankruptcy by drawing blanks consecutively. While the members aimed for one room, Lee Joon steadily worked on preparing onions, gradually accumulating coins.
After the coin mission was completed, it was time for dinner, where they could enjoy a luxurious dinner prepared with Uiryeong's specialties. The luxurious dinner consisted of a total of 13 courses, and the members had to participate in an auction with the coins they had to bid on their desired dishes.
From the first course, luxurious dishes that made the members' mouths water appeared, and Lee Joon and Yoo Seon-ho, who had gathered plenty of coins, enjoyed a hearty dinner by winning lavish menus. In contrast, the hidden menu that Jo Se-ho and Kim Jong-min boldly bet on turned out to be protein shakes and pickled sushi, which brought laughter. Meanwhile, Moon Se-yoon, who had won durian at every dinner auction, this time won charcoal-grilled pork instead and showcased an emotional eating broadcast.
After dinner, the ‘1 Night 2 Days’ team played the sleeping lottery game ‘Mysterious Goblin Bat’ and continued the game amid the tension of repeated blackouts. In the end, Kim Jong-min, DinDin, and Yoo Seon-ho were confirmed to sleep outdoors, but Jo Se-ho, who had slept outdoors instead of DinDin due to the effects of surgery during a previous trip, offered to sleep indoors, saying, “I’ll sleep outside today.” Thus, the six members finally went to bed at 12:30 AM.
The next morning at 7:10 AM, a message from the production team was sent to the six members' phones still asleep, saying, “If you have woken up, please quietly come outside.” However, none of the members checked the message, and the production team sent the same message two more times, but no one woke up.
The wake-up mission prepared by the production team was a kind of trap utilizing the ‘habit of the rich’ that states, “The rich get enough sleep for more than 7 hours.” If any member had read the message and come out before 7:30 AM, they would have had to perform the penalty of climbing Hanwoo Mountain.
Eventually, after 7:30 AM, the production team personally woke the members and announced, “You have succeeded in the mission.” The six members, who had accidentally succeeded in the mission while just sleeping, were bewildered, saying, “What did we do?” but happily wrapped up their trip to Uiryeong with a breakfast of beef soup.
The members who traveled to ‘Wealthy No. 1’ Uiryeong engaged in a cheerful yet fierce ‘War of Money.’ From the auction-style dinner to the wake-up mission that did not go as the production team intended, the episode was filled with unpredictable twists and turns, adding to the fun.
