Lee Young-ae broke down in tears over her husband's pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
In the first episode of the KBS miniseries 'Eunsu's Good Day' (written by Jeon Young-shin, directed by Song Hyun-wook) aired on the afternoon of the 20th, Kang Eunsu (played by Lee Young-ae) learned that her husband Park Do-jin (played by Bae Soo-bin) was suffering from pancreatic cancer.
In this episode, Kang Eunsu found her husband collapsed at home and called for an ambulance. The doctor stated that it was pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and said, "Unfortunately, surgery is difficult as the tumor has invaded the blood vessels around the pancreas. If he had started chemotherapy back in May when he was first diagnosed, the situation might have improved a bit, but..." indicating that it was already beyond help.
Eunsu visited her husband's older brother's family, but they only gave her 1 million won. Eunsu's friend expressed disbelief, saying, "Your brother is on the brink of death, and your nephew is about to be homeless, but they think 1 million won is enough? Just repaying the amount they lent for the deposit when they were in trouble would be several thousand won. Do they really have no shame?"
When Eunsu sighed, "I wish someone would just give me 200 million won," her friend placed an envelope of money in front of her. Apologizing, she said, "I'm sorry. It's only 1 million won." Eunsu cried, "Is 1 million won the same as what my brother-in-law gave?"
