In 'My Youth', Song Joong-ki smiled at Jeon Woo-hee's confession.

In episodes 5 and 6 of JTBC's Friday series 'My Youth' (written by Park Si-hyun, directed by Lee Sang-yeob and Ko Hye-jin), the hearts of Sun Woo-hae (played by Song Joong-ki) and Seong Je-yeon (played by Jeon Woo-hee) connected. Seong Je-yeon realized her feelings as she understood her own reaction to things she would not have tolerated if it were someone else, simply because it was Sun Woo-hae. Seong Je-yeon's bright confession of "I like you" made Sun Woo-hae, who had a tough day, smile again. Sun Woo-hae's ending, smiling brightly while saying, "The world is a bit beautiful," added a touch of tender excitement.

That day, the aftermath of the kiss between Sun Woo-hae and Seong Je-yeon was intense. Lost in thought, Seong Je-yeon confided to Mo Tae-rin (played by Lee Joo-myung) as if it were someone else's story. Noticing Seong Je-yeon's unusual change in bringing up romantic concerns, Mo Tae-rin hit the nail on the head by saying, "Isn't it better when someone you broke up with keeps clinging to you?" Despite Seong Je-yeon's request not to contact her for a while, Sun Woo-hae couldn't help but want to see her. Sun Woo-hae impulsively called and made plans. When Seong Je-yeon saw Sun Woo-hae, she tried to calm her racing heart.

Sun Woo-hae confessed that he went to school as a child and appeared in a documentary just to see Seong Je-yeon more times, saying, "If you don't have anyone to meet, would you like to meet me?" Seong Je-yeon, who valued her first love, found it difficult to change her relationship with Sun Woo-hae easily and felt sorry even while rejecting his confession. Sun Woo-hae smiled, thinking that anything other than 'friend 2' would be enough for him.

Although the confession was rejected, the relationship between the two had changed. Sun Woo-hae, who visited Phil Entertainment to extend the original rights contract for the third part of the movie 'World Made of Ashes', was angry to see Seong Je-yeon fighting with the staff because of him. It was upsetting to hear things he didn't need to hear. Seong Je-yeon felt pain at Sun Woo-hae's attitude. Having watched how Sun Woo-hae lived, Seong Je-yeon could no longer tolerate hearing about his life from people who knew nothing.

Unexpectedly receiving a forced vacation after six years, Seong Je-yeon reflected on herself. The more she tried to shake off thoughts of Sun Woo-hae, the more her mind was filled with him. Ultimately, Seong Je-yeon realized her feelings for him as she accepted things she would not have tolerated if it were someone else, simply because it was Sun Woo-hae.

At that moment, a crisis struck Sun Woo-hae. He was diagnosed with a rare condition called 'amyloidosis' in Korea. Sun Woo-hae calmly asked when he would die, and the doctor's words that it could be tomorrow or ten years later troubled him. In a situation where he couldn't foresee even a moment ahead, Seong Je-yeon appeared before a depressed Sun Woo-hae. After a long pause, Seong Je-yeon confessed, "I like you," and Sun Woo-hae strangely smiled at her bright face.

When meeting the nineteen-year-old Sun Woo-hae, he would say, "Life is just a gamble anyway. There will be days when you win a lot and days when you lose everything to the point of wondering if this is okay. You will probably have more days of losing a lot and gaining a little." On the day he was diagnosed with an uncertain illness, Seong Je-yeon's unexpected confession of 'first love' was a light for him. Sun Woo-hae's bright smile while saying, "The world is a bit beautiful," evoked tender excitement.

Meanwhile, 'My Youth' airs two consecutive episodes every Friday at 8:50 PM.
