Forestella continued their undefeated legend and claimed the final victory trophy in their first complete performance after Go Woo-rim's military discharge on 'Immortal Songs.'

The 722nd episode of 'Immortal Songs' aired on the 13th, featuring the theme 'Actor Lee Young-ae, Immortal Masterpieces.' Cha Ji-yeon & Kim Da-hyun, Yuk Joong-wan Band, STAYC, Forestella, W24, and Hong Kyung-min took the stage in turn, revisiting the musical journey of the 'national actress' Lee Young-ae.

The first name called was Cha Ji-yeon & Kim Da-hyun. This specially formed duo sang the OSTs 'Onara' and 'Hamangyeon' from Lee Young-ae's representative work 'Dae Jang Geum.' Cha Ji-yeon portrayed the adult Jang-geum, while Kim Da-hyun played the child Jang-geum, creating a fantastical atmosphere that transcended time. The combination of the choir and traditional music group created a soundscape of Korean traditional music, complemented by Cha Ji-yeon's powerful vocal range and Kim Da-hyun's solid and clear tone, completing an epic narrative. Lee Young-ae praised, "Listening to this song made me want to run to the folk village. Hearing it again brought tears to my eyes."

The second stage featured the Yuk Joong-wan Band. They reinterpreted the OST of the movie 'Spring Days Are Gone,' starring Lee Young-ae, adding their unique color. Before the performance, Yuk Joong-wan expressed the lonely emotions of love through harmonica playing. He built up emotions with a simple singing style at the beginning, then aimed for a dramatic twist with a desperate roar towards the end. The raw yet lyrical vocals layered over a warm and simple band sound left a lasting impression. Lee Young-ae commented, "Tears welled up while listening. The original is good, but the Yuk Joong-wan Band's interpretation felt like emotions were dripping beyond mere sorrow," expressing her admiration. As a result, Cha Ji-yeon & Kim Da-hyun won with 395 votes.

Next, STAYC took the third baton. They chose Nam Il-hae's 'Red Shoes Lady,' reminiscent of Lee Young-ae's film 'Lady Vengeance,' and dressed in matching red shoes and trench dresses, transformed into Geum-ja. Exuding a captivating mood, they threw off their coats and showcased a dance break, reminiscent of a musical. STAYC's refreshing energy blended with the alluring atmosphere, delivering an unforgettable performance. Lee Young-ae expressed her delight, saying, "My daughter really likes them, so I became a fan too," and praised, "They added a fresh and diverse color in a modern version. I think more fans will be drawn to STAYC's unique charm." However, Cha Ji-yeon & Kim Da-hyun maintained their winning seat with two consecutive victories.

Forestella was the fourth stage's main act. They selected Yang Hee-eun's 'Flower Vase' as a tribute to Lee Young-ae, adding deep resonance to a simple arrangement stripped of extravagance. The four members captivated the audience with their enchanting harmony, conveying the song's message with restrained emotions that drew everyone's attention. This performance resonated with Lee Young-ae's journey, adding to the emotional impact. Lee Young-ae remarked, "Listening made me think I should book a concert. It was even better to hear it live. It was so good," revealing that she became a fan. Consequently, Forestella stopped Cha Ji-yeon & Kim Da-hyun's three consecutive victories with 399 votes.

The fifth name called was W24. They reinterpreted the song 'Fairy of Shampoo' by Light and Salt with a refreshing band sound. Despite being their first appearance on 'Immortal Songs,' they showcased outstanding skills and relaxed stage manners, quickly captivating the judges. W24 reinterpreted the 'Fairy of Shampoo' released in the 90s with a trendy sensibility, making a strong impression. Lee Young-ae stated, "I looked up when they would perform while watching the stage. I need to book soon. Many people will not regret going," giving them a thumbs up. Despite W24's momentum, Forestella maintained their lead and achieved two consecutive victories.

The finale belonged to Hong Kyung-min. He selected DAY6's 'So That We Can Be a Page' which Lee Young-ae and her daughter love, dominating the stage with his unique vocals and energy. His voice perfectly matched the song choice. A large choir joined the stage, adding energy and clearly expressing the song's message. At the end of the performance, Hong Kyung-min asked Lee Young-ae, "I hope you remember our stage as a page in your life," adding significance to the moment. Lee Young-ae praised, "I knew his voice was good, but hearing it live was moving," and remarked, "The power to dominate the stage is incredible."

In conclusion, Lee Young-ae expressed her gratitude, saying, "I want to thank the production team and the singers for preparing so hard," and added playfully, "I want to live more kindly and diligently to meet expectations and come back again next time."

The joy of the final victory went to Forestella. They received the trophy from Lee Young-ae and smiled brightly. Having taken the stage for their complete comeback's first competition, Forestella not only continued their undefeated legend but also embraced the final victory trophy.

This episode, 'Actor Lee Young-ae, Immortal Masterpieces,' went beyond musical reinterpretation and competition, shedding light on the impact of the name Lee Young-ae on Korean popular culture and the works she participated in. A variety of music and performances unfolded, providing a rich enjoyment that matched Lee Young-ae's diverse persona.
