The lineup of eight outstanding supporting actors who will shine in 'Mari and the Unusual Dads' has been revealed.

KBS1's new daily drama 'Mari and the Unusual Dads' (directed by Seo Yong-soo, written by Kim Hong-joo) depicts the journey of Mari's clumsy dad searching far and wide! It tells the story of an unusual family that is thicker than blood and more tenacious than sperm.

Following the casting news of actors Ha Seung-ri, Hyun-woo, Park Eun-hye, Ryu Jin, Hwang Dong-joo, and Gong Jeong-hwan, the production team of 'Mari and the Unusual Dads' has unveiled a strong supporting cast featuring seasoned actors like Jung Ae-ri, Geum Bo-ra, Kang Shin-il, Park Hyun-jung, Jo Hyang-ki, Yoon Mi-hyang, Kim Young-jae, and young talents like Lee Ji-yeon.

Jung Ae-ri will play the role of Eom Gi-bun, who knows the secret of Kang Mari's (played by Ha Seung-ri) birth. She is the director of a prestigious general hospital and has ambitions to establish a sperm center. She believes she has been caught in a book due to a past mistake, and as that mistake is on the verge of being revealed, she becomes anxious.

Geum Bo-ra plays Mari's cute grandmother, Yoon Soon-ae. Soon-ae's witty remarks are unmatched, and behind her sharp tongue lies her love for her granddaughter Mari and daughter Si-ra (played by Park Eun-hye). In need of quick cash, she gets involved with a man who has moved into her back room, leading to a romance in her old age.

Kang Shin-il takes on the role of Lee Ok-soon, the father of Kang Se (played by Hyun-woo) and Pung-joo (played by Ryu Jin). Ok-soon is a typical father who wishes for his family's happiness. A bit peculiar, he desires his eldest son Pung-joo's marriage more than others. Deciding to leave home due to his son’s lack of interest in marriage, he accidentally gets entangled with Mari's family.

Park Hyun-jung appears as Mun Sook-hee, Si-ra's friend who has a crush on Pung-joo. Working as the financial director at Eom Hospital, she dreams of love again when Pung-joo returns to Korea after 15 years. However, her childhood friend Si-ra also has her eyes on Pung-joo, causing a rift in their friendship.

Jo Hyang-ki plays Yoon Eon-gyeong, the daughter of Eom Gi-bun. Eon-gyeong is Gi-bun's only daughter, and although she is middle-aged, she is immature and envious. However, her love for her family is always sincere. As her husband changes and her annoying cousin Si-ra causes trouble, a life-altering event occurs.

Yoon Mi-hyang portrays Kim Mi-kyung, the loyal secretary of Eom Gi-bun. Having worked closely with Gi-bun for a long time, she handles her tasks calmly.

Kim Young-jae plays the role of Pyo Do-gi, a third-year resident at Eom Hospital. He is known for being prickly both inside and out, earning a notorious reputation as the hospital's troublemaker. However, he encounters a rival who doesn't back down, bringing change to his daily life.

Lee Ji-yeon appears as Ahn Soo-seon, Mari's best friend. Self-proclaimed as Mari's guardian angel and also known as a nurse, she runs a YouTube channel and lives a fulfilling life, but she begins to feel new emotions when she meets a man who constantly challenges her.

With the addition of Jung Ae-ri, Geum Bo-ra, Kang Shin-il, Park Hyun-jung, Jo Hyang-ki, Yoon Mi-hyang, and the energetic Kim Young-jae and Lee Ji-yeon, interest in 'Mari and the Unusual Dads' is expected to grow. The stories of the supporting characters are also anticipated to be a point of interest that will enrich the drama.

'Mari and the Unusual Dads' is a collaboration between director Seo Yong-soo, who has been recognized for his delicate directing in works like 'Dohyun's Confession', 'Overlap Knife, Knife', weekend drama 'Ironing Family', and historical drama 'Goryeo-Khitan War', and writer Kim Hong-joo, known for his smooth writing in human drama genres such as 'Even if I Hate You, I Love You' and 'High School Alumni'.

'Mari and the Unusual Dads' will premiere in October as a follow-up to 'Grab the Great Luck'.
