Actor Kim Eung-soo revealed that he almost gave up on entering Hollywood because of U.S. President Donald Trump.

On the 27th, Kim Eung-soo, Kim Dong-wan, Baekga, and Kim Ho-young appeared as guests on MBC’s ‘Radio Star’.

On that day, Kim Eung-soo mentioned that he got the opportunity to enter Hollywood for the filming of the movie ‘Bedford Park’, saying, “The leads are Son Seok-koo and Choi Hee-seo. I was cast as Choi Hee-seo’s father.”

Kim Eung-soo stated, “When Donald Trump became the President of the United States, the visa issues became complicated. They asked for income proof, award records, etc., and I got so frustrated that I decided not to do it. I thought, ‘It’s not meant to be for ‘Bedford Park’, so I burned the shooting plan page by page. It felt so relieving.”

He continued, “But the director of ‘Bedford Park’ said, ‘We can’t do it without Kim Eung-soo. We must bring him somehow.’ So I prepared the documents again and went to the U.S. embassy. I had to do an interview, so I stood in line from 7 a.m. I hurriedly arrived in New Jersey two days before the crank-in and did the first shoot the next day.”

Kim Eung-soo mentioned that through ‘Bedford Park’, he gained a foothold in Hollywood, saying, “Strangely, the producer came to the shooting site every day to monitor. It turned out to be the world-renowned producer Gary Foster.”

He added, “I thought Gary Foster was younger than me, but he was actually the same age. When I asked about his birthday, he was about 10 months younger than me. After the shoot, Gary Foster gifted me a New York Yankees cap and some liquor, saying, ‘Let’s work together again next time.’”
