According to the production team of TV Chosun's entertainment program 'The Lover of Joseon' on the 27th, they decided to correct a mistake in the subtitles during the broadcast of Kim Byeong-man's episode aired on the 25th.
In the broadcast, Kim Byeong-man revealed his love story with his current wife. At that time, Kim Byeong-man's wife disclosed that they had dated during his unknown days and met again after more than a decade.
She mentioned that she received a message from Kim Byeong-man's mother saying, "I hope you meet Kim Byeong-man just once. He is having a hard time." She added, "I also thought, 'Oh, I see,' since I get news through TV and other sources."
In the actual broadcast, the subtitle inserted during the wife's comment was, "I also heard about the divorce news through TV." The word 'divorce' could lead to misunderstandings. Ultimately, the production team plans to edit that word out.
Kim Byeong-man married a non-celebrity woman who is 7 years older than him in 2011, but they divorced in 2023. He lost custody of his daughter from his previous marriage. He has since built a new life in Jeju Island and has a daughter and a son.
